SAC-Project

Sailingship Aquaculture

The SAC group has been able to gain strong partners with excellent expertise for the project in recent years.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Factory and Automation is our active partner for the development of process technology and energy systems. All development steps are digitally simulated before implementation and, if necessary, tested with scaled models. The engineers of the Fraunhofer IFF are also experienced team partners for digital data management and building a knowledge database in the project.

SDC GmbH, shipbuilding engineers based in Hamburg are also our partners. SDC are internationally established designers and architects, experienced ship designers. They develop the projects ship design and thus the construction that houses the mobile aquaculture. Functionality and safety of the ship are developed, tested and implemented in construction plans.

Several specialists are focused by our team, deliver the latest sailing and rigging technology for the CO2-free drive of the ship. Due to a fully automated sailing trim, a large part of the wind energy can be implemented in process energy for aquaculture. Only the best System is highly efficient, powerful and automated for operation with small crew compared to older sailing systems.

Lloyd’s Register of shipping, international certification company based in Hamburg and London will make the sailing ship’s classification. The Lloyd’s experts already support the project as an innovative future perspective for the cargo shipping sector. According to today, you will surely see the prerequisite for approval for the operation of the ship.

The inventors and scientific heads, Prof.-Dr. Uwe Waller and Prof.-Dr.-Ing.Klaus Kimmerle, provide their expertise and the results of years of research as partners and consultants of the SAC group. They provide all previous datas and knowledge of aquaculture and process technology and are the owners of the current protective Patents as the basis for our further developments.

The SAC GbR was founded by The Rufios – Media Productions Network Berlin in germany. The Rufios are Stefan Schaper and Thomas Elitez, music and film producers from Berlin. The two media professionals have been accompanying the project since the beginning with the production of the entire public relations content. In cooperation with the Professors Waller & Kimmerle, the connection to the SAC-project and the common goal of further developing this, with all the partners involved so far was created. The Rufios take care of marketing and communication for the SAC-project, while Prof. Waller & Prof. Kimmerle as the scientific director and consultant accompany the research and development processes. The contacts of the Rufios to the media world offer the project the opportunity to clearly present all content and narrative forms.
