SAC-Project

Sailingship Aquaculture

This project is driven by the idea to respond to the worldwide increasing protein demand of a growing global population, while natural fish stock continues to decline dramatically.

The SAC group develops the first sailing ship-based, mobile and sustainable aquaculture. Nowadays, new technology should support the biosphere and thus protect the biodiversity. This also includes us, the Homo sapiens. Green Ecology 2024 is responsible and able to earn money to help shape the development of a sustainable economy

According to our plans, this concept is economically efficient and scalable. First for the German and subsequently the european markets.

A sustainable and mobile aquaculture on board of our sailing ship operating with modern process technology. The ship combines modern sailing technology and energy conversion: wind energy supplemented by solar collectors, lets the ship drive and both ensure the aquaculture operation. Aquaculture can be operated at 98% of regenerative energy. Fossil fuels are almost completely avoided or only used for the safety of the ship and the crew in emergency situations.

The ship operates on the open oceans. The travel area is tailored to the type of fish, so the production is always carried out where optimal conditions prevail.

The fish are supplied with high-quality bio-certified feed – without the use of medication and synthetic ingredients. This is how a high-quality and sought-after organic product succeeds.

Our sailing ship aquaculture is more sustainable and environmentally friendly compared to other aquacultures. It saves energy because it uses the ocean water. Because the sailing ship moves, the residues transported with the expiring water are mixed into the ocean water, comparable to a large wild fish swarm in the ocean. Reasoned in conventional fisheries has overfished the natural stocks, these resources are increasingly lacking food networks in the marine, so that a sailing ship quaculture can have a positive effect on the oceanic cycles.

According to today, the SAC group would build the largest sailing ship in the world and will help to improve the supply of food from the oceans in the future. This is necessary because the oceans take the largest area on the globe and only they can make an increasing contribution to food supply.

This project stands for the idea of reacting in time to the increasing protein requirements of a growing world population in good time, while the natural fish stocks continue to decrease dramatically.
